Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By placing an order on masterlids.com, you ("Customer") agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). MasterLids is a brand operated by MasterLids, LLC ("we," "us," "our"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not place an order.

2. Made-to-Order Products

All MasterLids products are custom-manufactured to your exact specifications at the time of order. Because each lid is cut specifically for you:

• Production begins after payment is confirmed.
• Orders cannot be modified or cancelled once production has started (typically within 1 business day of payment).
• Custom lids cannot be returned simply because you changed your mind — see our Return Policy for exceptions.

3. Pricing and Payment

• All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD).
• Applicable sales tax is calculated at checkout based on your shipping address.
• Payment is collected in full at the time of order.
• We accept US-issued credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), Apple Pay, and Google Pay, processed securely through Stripe.
• We reserve the right to correct pricing errors. If a product is priced incorrectly, we will contact you before processing your order.

4. Production and Turnaround

Our standard turnaround is 7 business days from the date of payment. This does not include transit time. While we make every effort to meet this timeline, turnaround times are estimates and not guaranteed. We are not liable for delays caused by carrier issues, weather events, or other circumstances outside our control.

5. Shipping

• We ship within the contiguous United States only (no AK, HI, US territories, or international orders at this time).
• Free standard shipping is included on all orders.
• Risk of loss and title pass to you upon delivery to the carrier.
• If your package is lost or damaged in transit, contact us and we will work with the carrier to resolve the issue.

6. Guaranteed Fit

We stand behind the accuracy of our precision-cut lids. If your lid does not fit your tank as configured at checkout due to an error on our part, we will remake it at no charge. Fit issues resulting from incorrect measurements or configurations submitted by the customer do not qualify for a free remake but may be eligible for a discounted replacement — contact us to discuss.

7. Proof Approval

For certain orders, we may provide a digital proof (top-view and/or perspective rendering) before cutting begins. If a proof is provided, production does not begin until you approve it. Once you approve a proof, the order is final and production starts immediately.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on masterlids.com — including text, images, logos, product names, and lid design templates — is owned by or licensed to MasterLids, LLC. You may not reproduce, copy, or distribute any content without our express written permission.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our products are provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, except for the fit guarantee described in Section 6. We are not responsible for damage to aquarium inhabitants, equipment, or property resulting from the use of our products.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MasterLids, LLC's total liability for any claim related to your order shall not exceed the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages of any kind.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ohio.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our site or placement of an order after updated Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision.
